Chapter 11: Randy’s Place

Serena and Randy walked to the rabbit’s burrow hand in hand. In spite of her feelings for Martin, Serena found herself enjoying Randy’s company. He could be forward and even a bit crude at times, but he could also be polite and charming when he tried. As they strolled up to Randy’s hole in the ground, Serena felt a small twinge of guilt. She had no illusions as to where the night would lead, but she worried about Martin.

Randy hopped down into the burrow and steadied the ladder for Serena, looking up expectantly with a smile on his lips. Serena smiled to herself and briefly considered using the ladder and letting Randy ogle her backside, but leapt down into the burrow, landing gracefully and smiling pleasantly at Randy. Randy smiled back with just a hint of disappointment in his eyes.

“Are you hungry?” he asked.
