          Chapter 6: Yet More Neighbors

Serena walked between the boys as they walked along the path from Cleo’s home.  She was thoroughly enjoying the good natured rivalry she had inspired in the two male furs and the attention they lavished upon her.  As the walked, each pointed out various things of interest along the trail.  Martin being more matter of fact and sweet in his descriptions of the various plants and insects they came across.  Randy, being by far the bolder of the two was always quick to slip in a brazen compliment or two along with his knowledge of the woods.  She preferred Martin’s genuine sweetness to Randy’s slick, up front approach, but she did have to admit a to certain amount of curiosity about the rabbit...And she did love stringing him along.

Presently they came to the side of a small white cottage with a small well-groomed yard surrounded by a white picket fence.  Martin, who was pointing out a particularly pretty butterfly species as the group rounded the corner of the building.  In the yard stood an elderly but spry looking goat wearing wireframe glasses and just zipping up his trousers.  Lying on her back, propped up on her elbows, her legs splayed open and looking warmly up at the goat was a young porcupine.  Martin turned to direct Serena’s attention to the lovely insects and caught sight of the scene in the yard.

“Omigosh!” he exclaimed as he flushed bright red and turned around.

“What’s wrong?” Serena asked, noting Martin’s distress and having not quite taken in all the details in the yard.

“Sh-she’s naked.” Martin whispered quickly.

“Oh,” Serena said, looking around to see what Martin meant.

Chuckling to himself, Randy waved to the pair in the yard.

“Yo William! Penelope!” he called.

“Well, if that ain’t cuttin’ things close,” The elderly goat said in a Walter Brennon-like voice as he helped the porcupine to her feet.  “Randy and Martin.  Long time no see, lads.  And who is that pretty little fur between ya?”

“This is Serena,” Randy said, a little distracted watching the porcupine adjust the fur on her chest, pull on a pair of panties and slip into a short skirt.  “She’s moving into the neighborhood.

“Hi,” Serena said with a smile.

“Okay, Martin,” the porcupine said, her voice full and sweet.  “You can look now.”

“I’m right pleased to meet you, Serena,” The goat said, reaching out his hand.

“Me too,” the porcupine said.

“Likewise, Mister William,” Serena said taking William’s hand.

“An-chante, Lady fur,” William said in a very poor French accent as he leaned forward to kiss Serena’s hand.  “And just plain old ‘William’ will do.”

“All right, William,” Serena giggled cutely.

“So what can this old goat do to...Uh, I mean...For you youngin’s.

“I’m just getting aquainted with the residents,” Serena said.

“A good idea, and right friendly too...Ow,” William said, just before the porcupine gave him a friendly kick in the shin.  “And this charming little lady is Penelope.”

“How do you do?” Serena said, bowing her head politely.

“I’m pleased to meet you,” Penelope said.  “It’s a really nice little community, and very friendly too.”

“I’ve noticed,” Serena said with a smile.

“William, here, is sort of an authority on everything,” Randy said.

“And I’m more than happy to pass my experience and knowledge on to others,” William added.

“Especially if they’re female,” Randy whispered to Serena.

“I heard that you whipper snapper,” William said.

“I like him,” Serena giggled.

“Anytime you need something, little miss,” William said.  “Old William will be more ‘n happy to lend a...Hand.”

“You’re very kind,” Serena said, smiling sweetly.  “Thank you.”

“Yer most welcome,” William said.  Then turning to Martin.  “So, Martin...Been takin’ my advice?”

William nodded in Serena’s direction.  Martin looked absolutely mortified as he blushed and began to sweat nervously.

“Advice?” Serena asked.

“Um...Uh...Well...uhhh...” Martin stammered.

“Been coachin’ the lad on keepin’ the Lady furs happy,” William said matter-of-factly.

“Well he’s been doing a very good job of keeping me happy,” Serena said with a genuine smile.  “He’s such a sweet gentlefur.”

Martin grew a silly, embarrassed grin on his muzzle.

“That’s a good thing, lad,” William said approvingly.  “No need to be shy about it.”

“That’s part of his charm,” Serena said, scratching under the mink’s chin, causing his grin to broaden.

Penelope stifled a giggle as Martin’s face lost it’s embarrassed look and took on a dreamy, dazed quality.

“He’s also offered to let me stay at his place until I can find a place of my own,” Serena continued.

“Well now,” William said with a broad, knowing grin.  “That’s a fine gesture, Martin m’lad.  Though I’m surprised the bunny boy didn’t beat him to it.”

“Oh, he asked, too,” Serena said.

William looked surprised.  Randy just sulked.

“Don’t worry, Randy,” Serena said as she walked over to the sulking rabbit.  “I’m sure all the other females would love to stay with you.”

“I just don’t know what it is about the mink, here,” William chuckled.  “But he attracts the Lady furs like a magnet.”

“It’s that innocent shyness, William,” Penelope said.  “And he’s so polite.”

“I’m polite,” Randy grumbled to himself.

Serena smiled, noting Randy’s jealousy with keen interest.

“So who have you run across so far?” William asked.

Aroma and Fragrance, Fettish, Olivia, Willomeena, Nikki, Beuford and Cleo,” Serena listed off.  “And now you and Penelope, of course.”

“You ran across Willowmeena?” Penelope asked, her eyes widening in disbelief.

“Yeah,” Serena said.

“And you survived?”

“I just told her that I might play with her later,” Serena explained.  “And she let me go.”

“She did have another distraction,” Randy mumbled.

“You got to be careful with that gal,” William said with a grin.  “She can be quite a handful.”

“I noticed,” Serena said seriously.

“So who are you planin’ to visit next?” William asked.

“How about the Platapi?” Randy suggested with a sideways glance at Martin.

“All right,” Serena said.

“You youngin’s take care now,” William said. as the group prepared to set out.  Then with a knowing wink to Serena, “Be good to each other,”

Serena giggled innocently.

The trio said their good-byes and headed off down the trail back toward Passion lake.  They hadn’t gone far when a buzzing rattle filled the air.  Serena looked around for the source of the sound when she spotted a sour looking tattle snake slithering out onto the trail.

“Hello,” she said, looking the snake over.

Randy and Martin groaned in unison.

“Well now,” the snake hissed in a nasally voice.  “I see a new face among these common perverts.  I certainly hope, young lady, that these...Degenerates...haven’t yet corrupted your moral sensibilities.”

Martin looked at the ground, drawing circles in the dirt with his toes.  Randy merely smirked at the snake.

“No,” Serena said, smiling sweetly at the serpent.  “They’re just showing me around.  And who are you?”

Serena knelt down next to the snake.

“I...Am Sylvester Svengalli Serpent Esquire, at your service,” the snake said, puffed up with his own self importance.  “It is always good to meet a fine, morally centered person.  And so rare these days.  And you are?”

“I’m Serena Kitty,” Serena said.  Pleased to meet you, Sylvester.  I really like your name...It sounds so unique.”

“Thank you, Serena.  I find your name most pleasant as well.  I feel that I should warn you about the company in which you travel though.  Sexual deviants they are.  They rut like wild animals at the drop of a hat with no care for the moral implications or the harm they do to society as a whole with their wanton behavior.”

Martin hung his head in shame, while Randy fairly beamed with pride, polishing his finger nails on his shirt.

“Oh my, that sounds awful,” Serena said in a suitably shocked voice.

“I try so hard to give them a fine example to follow,” Sylvester hissed, his voice filled with suffering.  “I try so hard to impart some sense of moral stability to the community...(Sniff)”

“Oh you poor thing,” Serena said, patting the reptile gently on the head.

“Thank you,” Sylvester sniffed.  “You are one of the very few in these woods who understands.”

“I try,” Serena said sympathetically, smiling warmly at the snake.  “It was nice meeting you, Sylvester.”

“Be on your guard, Serena,” Sylvester warned.  “Especially around the rabbit.”

“Thank you for the warning,” Serena said with a smile.  “And don’t worry, I will.  ‘Bye.”

“Good-bye, Serena,” Sylvester said, throwing a withering glare at Randy and Martin before slithering off into the undergrowth.

The trio walked a short way down the trail before Serena started giggling.  Randy dropped to his knees, laughing.  Martin looked at the pair in confusion.  Serena turned to Randy.

“What?” she giggled.

“That was priceless, Serena!” Randy laughed.

“I have to win the hearts of my neighbors if I’m to stay here,” Serena explained.  “Of course it would be okay if I don’t win Sylvester’s.”

Martin still looked confused and a little sad.

“What’s wrong, Martin?” Serena asked.

“A-am I really a pervert?” Martin asked.

Serena looked at the mink, thinking at first that he was joking.  But the look on Martin’s face was anything but jovial.  She realized that Martin was serious.

“Of...Of course not,” She said.

“But Sylvester said...”

“Oh the hell with what Sylvester said,” Serena said quickly.  “You are the sweetest gentlefur I’ve ever met.”

“I...I try to be good,” Martin said.

“Just ignore him,” Serena told Martin.

“Yeah, don’t sweat it, Martin,” Randy chimed in.  “Sylvester’s just a big bag of wind.”

“Exactly,” Serena agreed.

“Okay,” Martin said, though he didn’t seem entirely convinced.

Serena reached out and patted the mink tenderly on the cheek and smiled warmly at him.  Martin seemed to respond, smiling back at her.

“Now,” Serena said.  “Let’s go meet these Platapi.”

The trio traveled on down the trail as it wound through wood down to the lake.  As they walked along the lake shore, they heard a loud, low bellow rumble out of the forest.

“What was that?” Serena asked excitedly as she looked around for the source of the sound.

“If it’s who I think it is...,” Randy said with a broad grin.  “Follow me.”

Serena and Martin followed Randy into the trees as the rabbit sneaked quietly forward.  Presently they came to a small clearing at the center of was a low wide stump.  Kneeling on the stump was Olivia, her legs splayed lewdly open and her arms held out to her sides parallel to the ground.  She was naked and in and obvious state of arousal.  additionally, she was covered in what could only have been large gobs of thick, white semen which dripped from her arms and ran down her body.  Serena’s eyes bulged in disbelief as she looked at the spooge covered otter.

“Wh-what happened to her?” Serena asked, her voice kept low.

Randy pointed.  Ten feet away from the stump sat an immense creature.  The shaggy hair on his head hung down to cover most of his face, leaving only his nose, ears and mouth exposed.  A huge grin graced the creatures lips.  His body was covered in thick, brown hair save for his arms and legs, which were bare.  Had he been standing, the creature might have stood over eight feet tall.  What captured Serena’s attention, however was the 3 foot long shaft of male flesh he was gently stroking.

“Oooooo, Gordon,” Olivia cooed to the creature.  “I think you may have missed a spot.”

“Then I guess we’ll just have to go for a second coating then,” Gordon chuckled in a low, rumbly voice.  “Won’t we?”

Olivia giggled as she rubbed the spooge on her body over her breasts and down between her legs.  Serena hid behind Randy, peeking out at the pair in the clearing as the creature began stroking its pillar of flesh faster.

“Wh-who’s that, Randy,” she whispered.

“That’s Gordon,” Randy explained.  “He’s a Sasquatch.”

“A li’l big, isn’t he?”

“Well, yeah.  They call him a big foot too, but that ain’t the only thing big about him.”

“He’s scary”

Gordon suddenly stiffened and bellowed as his shaft spewed out stream after hot thick stream of cum to splash on and cling to Olivia’s body.  The otter giggled happily and writhed with delight.

“He’s really a nice guy when you get to know him,” Randy said.

“R-really?” Serena asked, not fully convinced.

“Oh yeah,” Randy assured her.

In the clearing, Olivia rose dripping from the stump and went over to Gordon.  She stepped into his lap and began wrapping her cum-slicked body around the Saquatch’s massive organ.

“Maybe we’d better leave them alone,” Serena suggested as she started crawling away from the clearing.

“Okay,” Randy said, crawling after her.

They found Martin, who had apparently left the clearing almost immediately, down by the shore of the lake.  He sat there mumbling to himself.  Serena came up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder.

“Oh, is it over?” Martin asked as he turned and rose to his feet.

“Uhh, no,” Serena said.  “But we don’t want to disturb them.”

She smiled and cuddled Martin who managed a weak smile.

“Oh you can smile better than that,” she coaxed.

Martin’s smile broadened a bit.

“S-Serena?” Martin asked suddenly.  “When we...I mean, well...It’s because you want me too, isn’t it?”

“Come again?” Serena asked, a look of confusion crossing her face.

“I mean...you don’t do...’IT’...just because I want you to...you know...?”

“No,” Serena answered calmly.  “Why ask such a silly question?”

“I can’t help thinking about what Sylvester said...That I was corrupting you.  And just now...I wanted to go and look in the clearing with you and Randy...I know it’s wrong to spy on people...but....”

Serena kissed martin tenderly, silencing the mink’s anxious rambling.

“How many times do I have to tell you not to listen to that snake,” Serena said gently.”

“Martin,” Randy chimed in.  “You are the most non-perverse fur in this forest...With the possible exception of Monica.”

“Monica?” Serena asked.

“The older Platypus sister,” Randy explained.  “You’ll see what I mean.”

Randy led the group along the shore to a low hill with a door and several windows set into it.  near the door was a small flower garden and a well cared for lawn.  Randy went up to the door and rapped upon it.  After a few moments the door opened.

In the doorway stood an attractive female platypus with grayish blue fur.  She wore a yellow button down shirt tied up just under her breasts and a pair of lavender shorts.

“Oh my,” she said with a fair Australian accent.  “Guests.  Please, won’t you come in.”

“Thank you,” Serena said with a smile.

The platypus escorted the trio into well appointed living room with a couch and several chairs.  She gestured to the couch.

“Please, have a seat,” she said, then, looking at Serena.  “I’m Monica...And you are.”

“I’m Serena, I’m new to Rutwell”

“I’m very pleased to meet you, Serena.  Please have a seat and I’ll get us all some cookies and milk.”

“Thank you,” Serena said.

Serena sat down on the couch.  Randy and Martin moved to sit on either side of her, but two red and gray blurs beat them to the spots first. To her right, Serena found herself sitting next to a young female platypus clad in a mid-thigh length red shirt.  A big yellow smiley face with its tongue sticking out emblazoned on the shirt.

To her left, Serena found herself sitting next to a young male platypus.  Like the female, he was clad in a red shirt with a yellow smiley face, though his was a bit shorter, ending just above his hips.

“Hello,” Serena said.

The young male platypus looked dreamily up at Serena.

“Hello...You’re really pretty,” he sighed as he rested his head on her breast.

The young female platypus stared fixedly at Serena’s chest and spoke in a thick Australian accent without looking up.

“I’m Sheila.  And this is my twin brother Shelby.  Pleased to meet you.”

“Uhhhh...Nice to meet you too,” Serena said with a nervous smile, not sure what to make of the young platypus’s attentions.

Randy and Martin settled for chairs near the couch.  Martin eyed the young Platapi as nervously as Serena, but Randy merely watched the activity with a bemused expression.  Sheila cupped her own small breasts as if comparing them to Serena’s.

“I wish mine were as nice as yours,” she said wistfully.

“Don’t worry,” Serena said.  “I’m sure when you’re older and more mature they’ll grow.”

Serena felt a hand caressing her thigh.  She glanced over to see Shelby smiling innocently up at her as his hand moved gently along her upper leg.  He snuggled up against her, rubbing his chin on her breast.

“You really think so?” Sheila asked, looking up at Serena with bright, sparkling eyes.

“I’m Certain,” Serena answered the young platypus, distractedly.

Sheila flung her arms around Serena and with a happy ‘thank you’ rubbed her cheek against Serena’s other breast.  Serena smiled nervously at the twins and lightly patted their heads.

“Careful, you two,” Randy said with a sly grin.  “You’re going to make Martin jealous.”

Monica returned, carrying a tray with six glasses of milk and a plate full of assorted cookies.  Her eyes went wide in shock to see Sheila and Shelby’s behavior toward Serena.

“Oh dear,” she said.  “Sheila, Shelby!  You stop that this instant!”

The twins sported profoundly disappointed looks but promptly obeyed Monica.

“You’ll have to forgive them,” Monica said apologetically.  “I’m afraid they tend to be a little too forward with people.”

“It’s all right,” Serena said.  “They’re not as bad as Willomeena.”

“Oh dear, You’ve met that...very forward person?”

“Yes,” Serena said.  “But she didn’t do anything to me.  She is cute though.”

Shelby, with a mischievous grin on his bill, began caressing Serena’s thigh and nuzzling at her breast again.  Serena blinked in surprise.

“Shelby!” Monica exclaimed.

“But she said it was okay,” Shelby said indignantly.

“Huh?” Serena said.

“Big sister said, ‘You’ll have to forgive them...they tend to be a little too forward with people’.  Then you said, ‘It’s all right’.”

“Oh...well, ummm,” Serena stammered.

Shelby’s hand crept higher on her thigh.

“Um...That’s enough Shelby,” Serena said, hoping for some back up from her two companions.

“That’s not what she meant and you know it!” Monica said sharply.

Once more looking deeply disappointed, Shelby sat back.

“Thank you, Monica,” Serena said with a relieved smile.

“They really are good kids,” Monica said as she passed out the milk and cookies.

“I’m sure they are,” Serena said, keeping watch on Shelby out of the corner of her eye.

“I just don’t know where this behavior comes from,” Monica said as she set down the tray and seated herself in a chair.  “So you’re moving to Rutwell then?”

“That’s right,” Serena said.

“Do you have a place to stay yet?” Monica asked.

The young platipi’s faces lit up in hopeful anticipation of their older sister’s offer.

“I do,” Serena answered, much to the visible disappointment of the young plait.  “Though I’m sure I’ll be here to visit.”

The young palate’s expressions turned hopeful once more.  Serena hadn’t wanted to disappoint them, but she was a little concerned as to what lay behind Sheila and Shelby’s bright, hopeful smiles.

“Where will you be staying?” Monica asked.

“I’ll be staying with Martin until I get my own place,” Serena said.

“With...Martin?” Monica said, a look of concern crossing her face.

“That’s right,” Serena said.  “He offered to put me up.”

“Oh...How nice,” Monica said, looking to Martin, her expression of concern turning to one of worry.

“She had no where else to stay, Miss Monica,” Martin explained, grinning sheepishly.

“Of course, Martin,” Monica said, relaxing a little.  “It was a very nice thing to do.”

“Big sister is jealous,” Shelby whispered to Serena.

Serena looked questioningly at Shelby.

“She sort of likes Martin,” Shelby whispered conspiratorially.  “He’s always over here.”

“Shelby,” Monica said sternly.  “It’s not polite to whisper.”

“Sorry, Sis,” Shelby said.

“So what brought you to Rutwell, Serena?” Monica asked.

“Well, I was looking for a new place to live,” Serena explained.  “After my old home was burned to the ground.  Luckily I was able to save a few of my clothes, but that’s about it.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that,” Monica said, her voice filled with genuine compassion.  “If there is anything we can do to help....”

“Anything at all...” Shelby added with a mischievous grin that earned him a disapproving glare from Monica.

“You are all very kind,” Serena said with a grateful smile.  “I’m glad I came here.  Perhaps I can start over.  This place is a beautiful as my old home was...A place called The Giant Forest.  At least until a horrible forest fire.  It was unstoppable...I tried to save my home...I lost.”

Serena brushed a tear from her eye.

“We’re glad you came here, too,” the young platipi said in unison.

“Yes we are,” Monica agreed.  “What was The Giant Forest like?”

“It was the most beautiful place you have ever seen.  Large lakes...Running creeks...Absolutely beautiful waterfalls...And the trees, fifty times the size of the trees here.  My home was in one of the oldest trees there.”

“It sounds lovely,” Monica said.  “And it seems such a shame about the fire.”

“I grew up there,” Serena said a bit sadly.

“We recently moved here, ourselves,” Monica said.  “All the way from Australia.”

“What’s it like there?” Serena asked.  “I’ve always wanted to go.”

“It’s nothing like here,” Monica said.  “Oh there were forests and streams and lakes, but a lot of the streams and lakes would dry up during the dry season and everything was so...brown.  Everything here is so green and alive.  Don’t get me wrong, though.  Australia is a beautiful place.  But change is a good experience.”

“Yes it is,” Serena agreed.

“I take it Randy and Martin have been showing you around?” Monica asked.

“Yes they have,” Serena said.  “We’ve met just about everybody, I think.”

“Just about,” Randy said.  “I think Amanda is next on the list.”

“We probably should get going,” Martin suggested.  “It’s going to be getting dark soon.”

“Awwww, do you have to go?” Sheila and Shelby asked, grabbing hold of Serena’s arms and looking up at her with sad, puppy-dog eyes.

“I’ll be back later,” Serena said.  “Perhaps after I get settled into my new home.”

“Cool,” the two Platapi said, smiling brightly as they let go of Serena.

Monica rose and led the trio out to the door.

“I hope you can stop by often, Serena,” Monica said.

She turned to martin and gave the mink a peck on the cheek.  Martin blushed.  Serena smiled at Martin and Monica, trying to conceal the odd pang of longing she suddenly felt for Martin.

Randy, watching the triangle with a bemused expression, chuckled to himself and told Monica good-bye.

As the trio traveled along the lake shore,  Serena found herself wondering about Monica and Martin.  Monica had seemed almost hurt that Martin had asked her to stay with him...And Martin’s reaction to the female platypus’ kiss as they had left....

At length, the trio came to a small dam at what Randy called the tail end of the lake where a river flowed out of passion lake.  Near the dam was a small cottage.  As the trio walked up to the door, Serena spotted a sign leaning up against one of the trees in the yard that read: CUSTOM CUT-TO-FIT DILDOS $20.00  She stopped and looked at the sign, slightly taken aback.

“Something wrong?” Randy asked.

“Uh, no,” Serena answered, still looking at the sign.

“Oh, that,” Randy chuckled.  “Amanda is a beaver.  Among other things, she makes...Toys...for girls.”

The trio reached the door and Randy knocked.  After a moment, the door opened and a harried looking, golden furred female beaver stood in the doorway.  She was clad in a white sweater and nothing else.  Her fur on her inner thighs was slicked down and glistened wetly.

“Oh yes!” the beaver said excitedly.  “Just what I need.”

“Huh?” Serena said.

The beaver grabbed Randy and Serena by the hands and dragged them into the cottage, with Martin trotting in behind them.  Completely confused, Serena threw Randy a questioning look only to see that the rabbit was just as confused as she was.  Then she looked to where they were being led.  In the center of the room, amid a collection of tools and scrap wood, was a large sturdy looking bed....
